Dr. Sandra Gregory has been practicing as a radiation oncologist for 13 years and has spent the last three of those at RCOG’s Cherokee County Radiation Therapy Center in Canton, Georgia, treating various types of cancer such as breast, lung, and head and neck.
Inspired by her aunt who is also a physician, Dr. Gregory obtained her medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in 1990. After completing her residency at Montefiore Medical Center and Weiler Hospital in New York, Dr. Gregory moved to Memphis, Tennessee where she worked at a large practice. She was also involved in the start-up of a radiation therapy clinic, prior to being recruited by RCOG to run the Canton location.
“I enjoy practicing medicine in a smaller community because there is a greater opportunity to really make a difference,” Dr. Gregory says.
Originally from a small town in New Jersey, Dr. Gregory grew-up riding horses and now competes in show jumping all around the Southeast. She also enjoys playing tennis, hiking, gardening and reading.
